The ancient Benedictine monastery of Valmarina, recently restored, it is the new center of the Colli di Bergamo Park union.
The ancient monastery is situated in the small Valmarina valley, close to Ramera an area of Bergamo, characterized by a suggestive landscape composed of lawn and crops terraces.
The presence of a female Benedictine monastery in the area is attested since the 1150 a.C.
The building entertained a small community of Benedictine religious; the recent restoration allows to preserve and make more valuable the religious Benedictine buildings (church, refectory, room of the chapter).
The park center is in the ex monastery of Valmarina; it can be easily reached by public transportation.
